Passport Services for Thai Nationals to Resume at MBK and Central Westgate on Aug. 20

Thailand’s Department of Consular Affairs announced earlier this week that passport offices located at Central Plaza Westgate in Bang Yai and MBK Centre in Pathum Wan will re-open from Aug. 20 onwards.

With the increased dissolution and lifting of travel restrictions around the world, the passport offices have decided to resume services in anticipation of increased demand. The branches will be open on Saturdays to make time for people that are busy during weekdays as well.

Currently, the Central Plaza Westgate branch has a capacity of up to 500 applicants per day, whilst the MBK Centre can tend to a maximum of 1,000 people each day.

The offices are to operate from 10 AM to 6 PM, from Mondays to Saturdays. Digital renewal kiosks will also be available for walk-in applicants over 20 years old. Same-day-return services remain unavailable, and only Thai nationals who aren’t holding diplomatic or government passports are eligible for the services.ai nationals
