Suvarnabhumi Airport Passengers Advised to Arrive 3 Hours Before Departure
Suvarnabhumi International Airport has advised departing international passengers to arrive at least three hours before their flight due to potential delays caused by the partial closure of its checkpoints.
Since March 1, the airport has temporarily closed some sections of the west side of the International Departure Security Checkpoint Zone 3 to install a new Automatic Return Tray System (ARTS). The maintenance will last until March 29.
During the said period, passengers are advised to use the security checkpoints at Zone 1 (behind the check-in counter at Row A), Zone 2 (behind the check-in counter at Row J and M), and Zone 3 (behind the check-in counter at Row S) on the east side.
Passengers can contact any airport staff for further assistance.
After installation, the ARTS is expected to help boost the efficiency of the airport’s security processes and provide a more speedy and convenient experience to passengers.
