Chef Monthep "Thep" Kamolsilp of Siam@Siam Hotel's modern fine dining restaurant Taan and Chef Pichaya "Pam" Utharntham of one-star Michelin restaurant Potong are joining forces for one night to present an "international interpretation of Thai-Chinese cuisine" over nine courses.

Chef Pam will be banding with Chef Thep at Taan this coming Saturday, March 4, to curate the exciting menu of Pīnyīn. Priced at THB4,900, the dinner will include exquisite dishes that will surely be memorable like blood clam, crab, smoked prawn, and charred Chinese beef sausage, among others, capped off with breadfruit moon cake.

It is highly recommended to book reservations for this one-night special dinner.

You may make reservations by calling (+66) 65 328 7374, through LINE (@taanbangkok), or online via Taan's website. You may view Chefs Thep and Pam's Pīnyīn dinner menu here.

Taan, located at Siam@Siam Hotel in the cosmopolitan district of Pathum Wan, is regarded for its close engagement with independent and local Thai farmers for its “seasonal, ever-changing” menu. As "taan" means "to have a meal" in Thai and is a play on the word "pra-taan" that pertains to a leader of a group, Taan is committed to serving patrons "farmer-led food" with Chef Thep at its helm.

Potong, on the other hand, is rooted in Chef Pam's history, as the building where it stands on used to be where her family produced Chinese medicine products for over 100 years. Potong also used to be the name of her family's traditional Chinese herbal medicine business. The Thai-Chinese-Australian chef trained at the three-starred Michelin Jean-Georges Restaurant in the United States before returning home to put up Potong restaurant and become one of the kingdom's "most influential chefs."

Location: Taan, 25th Fl. Siam@Siam Design Hotel Bangkok, 865 Rama I Road, Patumwan Wang Mai
