This August, Dreambox Theater breathes new life into one of Thailand’s most heartbreaking love stories — often called the Romeo and Juliet of the Thai countryside — through an immersive full-length musical retelling that promises original musical compositions, soaring vocals from a powerful ensemble, and emotional gut punches in every scene.

Adapted from the cult classic film "Plae Kao" (also known as "The Scar"), which itself was based on Mai Muangderm’s celebrated novel, this stage production transports you to the rice fields of 1930s Bang Kapi, where fate pulls young lovers apart just as quickly as it draws them together. 

Featuring music by Kaiwan Kulwattanothai, Suthee Saengsareechon, and Phudinan Deesawatmongkol, script and lyrics by Daraka Wongsirikul, and stage direction by Suwandee Jakraworawut, "Plae Kao" is both a celebration of Thai heritage and a universal story of love, loss, and longing.

At the heart of the story is Riam, a village girl whose innocent love for Khwan is complicated by old family feuds and social divides. When Riam is sold to a wealthy matron and swept into Bangkok's high society, she’s forced to choose between the glitter of her new world and the lingering hold of a love left behind.

The production features a standout cast including Khemawat Roengtham, Sayapa Singchu, and Radklao Amaradit, among others — each bringing raw vulnerability and dramatic depth to this beloved story.

Get ready to rave under the sky — it has been confirmed that Tomorrowland is officially landing in Thailand! The world-famous Belgian electronic music festival will make its ASEAN debut in 2026, marking a first in the region’s festival scene and cranking up the volume on Thailand’s global cultural clout.

“Tomorrowland will be hosted in Thailand for the first time in 2026,” announced Thapanee Kiatphaibool, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT).

The announcement dropped after a meeting in Bangkok between Thapanee Kiatphaibool, Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra, and CEO of Tomorrowland, Bruno Vanwelsenaers, as well as Tomorrowland Head of Media & Business Development, Filip Teerlinck. 

On June 25, 2025, following the meeting, Prime Minister Paetongtarn posted on social media: "Tomorrowland Thailand is a golden opportunity to spotlight Thai artists, elevate the music industry, and set new standards for live entertainment in our country.” They added that the project is currently "under study and preparation.”

This debut Thai edition will take place in Chon Buri province. While the exact dates are still under wraps, fans can expect ticket sales and pre-registration info to hit Tomorrowland’s official site closer to the big event, so stay tuned!

Thailand really loves their horror films, so they made Halloween a bit early this time.

Get ready for three nights of a thrilling and spine-chilling cinematic experience at the Bangkok Horror Film Festival 2025, happening from July 4 to 6, 2025, from 6 PM to 12 MN at the historic Maen Sri Waterworks Building. 

Organized by the Ministry of Culture and the Thailand Creative Culture Agency (THACCA), the free-entry event promises a spine-tingling celebration of horror cinema in one of Bangkok’s most hauntingly historic locations. 

The old Waterworks Building will be transformed into an open-air theatre, with parts of the venue taking inspiration from horror films and a haunted house attraction. The whole affair will be rounded off with food stalls, music, and Q&A sessions with the filmmakers. 

Apart from the film screenings, the Bangkok Horror Film Festival 2025 will be hosting a short-film competition, highlighting emerging talents in the horror genre. Whether you’re a horror movie fan, a casual film enthusiast, or simply someone looking for another unique idea for a night out, this event will truly be unforgettable.

On July 27, 2025, the beloved British electro-soul duo will return to Bangkok for the highly anticipated “The OUCH World Tour," an experience that promises to keep you "Warm On a Cold Night."

HONNE, consisting of Andy Clutterbuck and James Hatcher, has carved out a space where soulful serenades meet glossy synth-pop. Now, after a string of buzz-worthy performances (including a March set at Pattaya's biggest food and art festival, Pelupo), they are bringing their sonic wonder to True Icon Hall at ICONSIAM.

Fans can expect them to perform tracks from their latest album "OUCH," which premiered on Sept. 6, 2024, and sent fans into a frenzy. With 16 tracks on the album, ranging from the comforting ballad "Lean on Me" to the sultry “SHHH,” the album dives deeper into their signature romantic sound.

This marks HONNE’s fifth time performing in Bangkok since their debut in 2017, proving the city holds a special place in their heart — and vice versa. And as if that weren’t enough, the night kicks off with Thai sensation Bowkylion, whose dreamy pop ballads will warm the crowd up just right. 

For the Bangkok stop, doors to the concert open at 7 PM, with the duo taking the stage until 8:30 PM.
