After a Half Century, Governor’s Mansion Welcomes Visitors for a Luxurious Songkran Celebration
After more than five decades, the Crazy Rich Asians-inspired Pithak Chinpracha House is now accepting visitors via Airbnb from April 15-17, 2022. The 119-year-old Governor’s Mansion located in Phuket is considered as the largest Sino-Portuguese mansion and was the official residence of former governors.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand teamed up with Airbnb to reopen to the public as part of Songkran holiday promotions. The entire mansion can be reserved by a single group of up to four people for THB1,700.
Booking reservations will open at 9 PM ET on April 4, 2022 (9 AM SGT/ 8 AM ICT on April 5, 2022).
The luxurious amenities they can enjoy include exclusive access to a two-bedroom suite with a private reception lounge and living room, a multi-course Songkran tasting menu by Blue Elephant’s Chef Nooror Somany Steppe, a scuba diving and snorkeling session, and a walking tour of Phuket’s rainforest Khao Pra Taew Wildlife Sanctuary.
Guests will be personally welcomed by Thai superstar Patricia ”Good” Tanchanok upon arrival.
International travelers can also book the Governor’s Mansion but must comply with Thailand’s updated travel rules and regulations.
