Bowers & Wilkins Pi7 S2 & Pi5 S2 Headphones: Earbuds for Audiophiles
Bowers & Wilkins (B&W) have unveiled their latest wireless earbuds, with the Pi7 S2 and Pi5 S2 models offering features that promise to drastically improve the sound quality, noise cancellation capabilities, and battery life of their predecessors. With these advancements, B&W is aiming to provide a listening experience for audiophiles who demand the best in sound quality.
The Pi7 S2 and Pi5 S2 earbuds share a similar design, with rounded sides and a semi-circular outer case that houses the capacitive touch controls. The Pi7 S2 comes in various eye-catching colours, such as Satin Black, Canvas White, and Midnight Blue, while the Pi5 S2 is available in more subtle shades like Cloud Grey, Storm Grey, Spring Lilac, and Sage Green.
The Pi7 S2 features a more advanced system with four drive units and the Qualcomm aptX Adaptive codec, allowing up to 24-bit/48kHz audio quality with active noise cancellation (ANC). Meanwhile, the Pi5 S2 has a single drive unit with support for the aptX wireless codec, CD-quality streaming and dual microphone set-up.
The Pi7 S2 offers an advantage with its six-microphone set-up, but both models feature ANC. However, the Pi5 S2 has an edge in terms of battery life, with 19 hours compared to the Pi7 S2's 16-hour battery life.
With the upgraded features, B&W promises to bring the ultimate listening experience for customers who demand the best sound quality from their earbuds. The Pi5 S2 is now available in most markets, with the higher-end Pi7 S2 coming later this spring.
