Three smartphones received the Best Product Award for Mobile Devices from the Expert Imaging and Sound Association (EISA). They were among the 82 winners selected across six categories in the 2023-2024 Awards, which is now in its 41st year.
HONOR 90 took the award for Best Buy Smartphone, as it “exceeds expectations of what a smartphone at its price point should offer.” Despite being a mid-range phone, it boasts features that users see in flagship designs, such as its bright and sharp 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED screen.
Its triple-camera setup with a 200MP main sensor and a 5000mAh 66W battery also gave the smartphone capabilities for high-quality photography and fast charging. Lastly, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 Accelerated Edition processor has made it possible for the smartphone to provide a stable user experience with its Magic OS 7.1 system.
OPPO Reno10 Pro received the Best Consumer Smartphone award as it “delivered the ultimate consumer smartphone, combining beauty, speed, and versatility.”
It features rich and smooth visuals with the help of its curved 120Hz OLED screen, quality performance that can handle demanding apps and games with its Snapdragon 778G processor and 12GB RAM, and a fast-charging 4600mAh battery with OPPO’s 80W fast charger.
The smartphone also boasts a triple-camera system (a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilisation, a 32MP telephoto lens, and an 8MP ultrawide lens) that allows users to take gorgeous photos and videos regardless of the situation.
For the Best Multimedia Smartphone, the Sony Xperia 1 V took home the award with its “many welcome features,” particularly its high-quality camera system. Its 24mm main camera works in tandem with an optical zoom camera that has an 85-125mm range and an ultrawide camera with a focus length of 16mm to provide stunning images and videos.
The fifth-generation flagship phone also showed upgrades in its sensor technology, incorporating the new “Exmor T for mobile,” which has separate transistor and photodiode layers. With a 1.7x increase in sensor size, the smartphone now delivers a wider dynamic range and reduced noise levels, making it ideal for night shots and low-light photography.
