Children's Vaccination Centres See Temporary Extended Hours

The government will extend the opening hours of four children community vaccination centres on weekends and public holidays from 8 AM to 8 PM starting April 23 (Saturday) to May 15 (Sunday).

Parents and guardians can make reservations online for children aged five to 11 to receive Pfizer jabs during the extended opening hours beginning 9 AM tomorrow.

Centres at Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong, Hong Kong Children's Hospital, Yuen Chau Kok Sports Centre, and Tsuen Wan Sports Centre will open as usual from 10 AM to 6 PM daily on weekdays, extending opening hours for 12 hours on Saturdays and Sundays, and government public holidays until mid-May.

Secretary for the Civil Service Patrick Nip appealed to adults to vaccinate their children as soon as possible to avoid the risk of serious illness or death from COVID-19 infection.

Additionally, children aged three to 11 can also receive Sinovac jabs at community vaccination centres, hospital out-patient clinics, the Department of Health’s Student Health Service Centres, and hundreds of private clinics.
