Two More Hotels Join Quarantine Scheme for May, June Schedule

The government has announced that two more hotels will be added to the seventh cycle from March 1 to July 31, 2022 as part of the city’s designated quarantine hotel scheme.

The Conrad Hong Kong in Admiralty and the Hong Kong Ocean Park Marriott Hotel in Wong Chuk Hang will start accepting room bookings from late May and begin service from early June, providing up to 600 additional rooms.

There are 64 quarantine hotels operating in Hong Kong, providing around 23,000 rooms to visitors and Hong Kongers returning from abroad.

“In anticipation of the continuously increasing number of inbound travellers, the Government issued letters to hotels and guesthouses with valid licences last month to invite applications for joining as quarantine hotels in the current cycle, with a view to increasing the supply of rooms,” a government spokesperson said.

Another hotel, which formerly had been used as a community isolation facility will be converted into a quarantine hotel, has applied to join the cycle of the scheme.
