Almost 4,000 Vacancies on Offer at Online Job Fair From June 7-8

Job seekers can expect to choose from over 3,800 vacancies at the Labour Department's (LD) Opening Up a New Terrain Online Job Fair, which is held today until tomorrow, June 8, at 6 PM.

The vacancies encompass various industries and include full-time, part-time, and temporary positions suitable for both fresh graduates and those with job experience.

As per a government press release yesterday, around 60 organisations are participating in the online job fair. Some of the positions include, among others, management trainee, data analyst, cook, security officer, residential care home nurse for the elderly, and fitness and recreation executive or attendant.

Most or 80% of the vacancies in the job fair are full-time jobs and offer monthly salaries ranging from HK$10,000 to HK$20,000.

"Over 95 percent require a Secondary Six education level or below," the release read. "Around 75 percent are open to job seekers without relevant working experience."

The online job fair may be accessed through the LD's Interactive Employment Service website. Job seekers must pre-register as a user on the website to submit online job applications to the participating organisations directly.
