Food Expo Returns to Hong Kong With International Cuisine Showcase

The anticipated Food Expo is set to return to Hong Kong for its 32nd edition, promoting global gourmet foods, new local products, and international cuisine from Aug. 11-15. It is organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.

The event presents three sections, the Public Hall, Gourmet Zone, and Trade Zone, to promote local and international food products and companies to visitors of the fair. The Gourmet Zone is set to host 90 exhibitors promoting Asian and European cuisines, organic foods, desserts, and snack products.

At the Public Hall, more than 430 exhibitors will host several international groups to champion quality goods directly to consumers in the five-day international culinary extravaganza, including Maxims, Tai Pan, Nissin, and On Kee Dry Seafood.

The Trade Zone will feature more than 100 exhibitors and group pavilions, including a host of mainland Chinese pavilions promoting Zhejiang, Hubei, and Sichuan food and wine. Open from Aug. 11-13, the exhibition is open to industry buyers and guests with public tickets.

In celebration of the HKSAR’s 25th anniversary, a group of 13 star chefs will be performing cooking demonstrations of 25 Cantonese dishes. The demos will be hosted by executive chef Ho Wai-sing of The Royal Garden Chinese Restaurant, executive chef Will Leung of 1111, Chinese chef de cuisine Lai Wai-hung of Hyatt Regency Hong Kong, Sha Tin, and more.
