HK Unemployment Subsidy Application Open Until April 14
The online application for the Hong Kong unemployment subsidy was launched yesterday and almost 100,000 people already signed up. In a radio interview, Head of Policy Innovation and Co-ordination Office Doris Ho said that the figures showed a significant level of demand for the HK$10,000 handout scheme.
The application process may take around 10 minutes to complete, but candidates must make a booking reservation first before heading to the service centres, Ho added.
More than a thousand applicants received assistance from the official service centres in North Point, Mong Kok, Kwun Tong, Tai Po, and Yuen Long on Wednesday (March 23).
Eligible beneficiaries of the cash assistance program have until April 12 to submit their applications.
