‘Art@Harbour’ Exhibition Integrates Art, Science, and Technology at New Outdoor Installations

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) has collaborated with private organisations K11 Group, Kerry Group, and Sino Group to launch the “Art@Harbour” exhibition in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR).

The exhibition features four art programmes, including Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC)’s exclusively sponsored “The Hong Kong Jockey Club Series: Science in Art” by the Art Promotion Office and Science Promotion Unit of the LCSD. In this programme, the LCSD commissioned local artists and tech partners to build nine sets of interactive art installations and three pieces of 3D floor graphics that combine art and science. All these can be viewed at Tamar Park and the Central and Western District Promenade (Central Section).

The other three programmes — K11 Group’s “Symphony of the Future,” Kerry Group's “Blossoming Hong Kong,” and Sino Group's “Heart to Heart” — can be found at the Tsim Sha Tsui and Hung Hom promenades.

The digital art façades on both sides of Victoria Harbour aim to complement each other to liven up the ambience of the harbourfront areas through artistic creation.

“Art@Harbour” will run until Dec. 18. For more details about the entire project and each programme, the public can visit http://artatharbour.hk/.
