Digital Claude Monet Experience Coming to West Kowloon

‘En Voyage With Claude Monet’ Digital Immersive Experience Comes to Hong Kong

Experience the art of legendary French artist Claude Monet like you’ve never before at the upcoming all-encompassing exhibition scheduled to debut at West Kowloon in late October. Expect to see masterpieces such as “Impression, Soleil Levant” (1872) as well as moving tapestries from his “Water Lilies” series that plunge viewers right into the bucolic French country landscapes.

Up to about 200 pieces of artwork by the Impressionist painter will be integrated into a 360-degree sound and light show for the ultimate sensorial immersion. The experience is split into four sections comprising of a digitised art display, followed by a retrospective on the artist himself, music-backed chronicles of his travels with an original soundtrack by Echo Collective, and rounded off with a stunning VR tour of Monet’s Giverny residence.

Brought to the city by Belgian studio Dirty Monitor, with support from local art and tech collective ChillHoYeah, En Voyage has already graced exhibition spaces in Barcelona, Brussels, London, Turin, and more.

“’En Voyage with Claude Monet’ is a lever to inspire people to learn more about the painter after experiencing the exhibition. When you see this show, you are in Claude Monet’s life. It is like standing next to him while he’s painting,” say the organisers.

Taking place at the Cultural Plaza in between the Xiqu Centre and Austin station, the exhibition will host 16 sessions a day, each lasting a maximum of 45 minutes. “En Voyage” will take place from Oct. 27 through Jan. 15, 2023, with early-bird tickets now available for booking.
