Multidisciplinary New Vision Arts Festival Begins on Friday

LCSD to Host Multidisciplinary New Vision Arts Festival Beginning Oct. 28

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) will be launching a collective showcase of cutting-edge creative programmes as part of the 2022 New Vision Arts Festival (NVAF) held from Oct. 28 to Nov. 20.

Set to highlight the interdisciplinary artistic talent in Hong Kong, the NVAF consists of stage performances held in tandem with a free online showing titled “Rush,” slated to go live on their official website beginning in early November.

The grand highlight of the NVAF’s on-stage live concerts is a multisensory presentation themed "Live‧Earth‧Space," and features local electronic musician and multimedia artist Choi Sai-ho. Choi’s programme is informed by a mixture of urban landscapes in contrast to the universe, as well as technical elements like big data.

Matching his music with visual artwork, Choi will perform audio-visual pieces supported with works by new media artist Jason Lam, and help from technical director Mick Yip, as well as award-winning animation provided by artist Kongkee. A meet-and-greet will be held after his performance on the Nov. 18 seating.

Selected shows and events will be offering a 30% discount on tickets for those who can show they have liked the NVAF Facebook page and followed the NVAF Instagram.
