Muse Fest Hong Kong 2022 Kicks Off in November
November 03, 2022
The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LSCD) has organised “Muse Fest Hong Kong 2022,” a festival that highlights the attractions at Hong Kong museums for the whole month of November.
This year’s Muse Fest theme is “Hong Kong H.A.S Museums,” in which “H” stands for history, “A” for art, and “S” for science. Over 70 programmes will be launched by LSCD museums to celebrate Hong Kong heritage through movies and memorabilia, modern and traditional arts, and space science.
Museums including the Hong Kong Heritage Museum, the Oil Street Art Space, and the Fireboat Alexander Grantham Exhibition Gallery will hold “fun days” for families and other visitors, where they can participate in craft workshops, games, performances and demonstrations.
Notable activities and events that have already been announced include the Hong Kong Museum of History’s collaboration with the Hong Kong Film Archive and the Conservation Office to host “History x Film x Conservation – Boundless Classics,” a two-day event on Nov. 12-13. This archive will present two classic films starring Connie Chan Po-chu, the “Movie-Fan Princess,” and host demonstration talks on conserving wedding memorabilia.
The Hong Kong Heritage Museum will also hold a heritage tour, featuring a special screening of “Anita.” At the Hong Kong Space Museum, a “Space Theatre Highlight Tour” will be arranged for visitors who wish to view behind-the-scenes production spaces such as the control studio and projection room.
