A new version of the "LeaveHomeSafe" mobile application (version 3.2.5) was released in the evening of May 10 following a technical error that caused the deletion of the Vaccine Pass QR codes of some Google and Huawei phone users.
According to a spokesman of the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) in a government press release yesterday, the error was caused by the service contractor during the update of the app's 3.2.4 version on Tuesday afternoon.
Google or Huawei users who updated their app to version 3.2.4 would have found their vaccination records, Exemption Certificate QR codes, recovery record QR codes, and more deleted due to the technical error.
The OGCIO has apologised for the inconvenience and called on to the public to update their "LeaveHomeSafe" app to the latest version and store their Vaccine Pass again if they cannot find their original vaccination record. The issue does not extend to Apple iOS users.
