Singular Concepts is ready to bring the timeless energy of Japan's Izakaya culture to Hong Kong with their upcoming flagship restaurant and bar Yurakucho. Opening its doors sometime in Feb. this year, the 2300 sq.ft venue will offer a range of sake, Japanese highballs, a live robatayaki open-kitchen grill, and an awesome hip-hop underground soundtrack.

The name Yurakucho comes from a well-known district in Japan, less tonier that Ginza, but just as unique. Lined with izayakas, red-lanterns, and yakitori restaurants, Yurakucho provides a glimpse of Japanese life from the early postwar period.

The menu will be inspired by the hidden streets of Yurakucho, with small plates such as Katsu Sandos, Garlic Butter Edamame, Chicken Kaarage and more.

Guests are invited to loosen their ties and take off their jackets as co-founder of Singular Concepts Gagan Gurung takes over the bar program. Guests can enjoy exceptional drinks and cocktails, while live DJs will spin every weekend to add to the urban retro ambiance

CEO David Sit said "we want people in Hong Kong to experience those vibes transporting them in the Shimbashi or Yurakucho districts of Tokyo to loosen up after a long day of work".

Singular Concepts' Yurakucho is set to be the perfect spot for guests to succumb to debauched revelry and dining in a world that has been locked away for too long. More details are to come, stay tuned to Yurakucho on Instagram for updates.

Location: Yurakucho, G/F, Yu Yuet Lai Building, 43-55 Wyndham Street, Central, Hong Kong
