Fourth of July Eats in Hong Kong: Crowd-pleasing Menus & Restaurants
Sparks fly this Fourth of July, as Hong Kong gets ready to serve up some holiday favourites. A time for some indulgent, hearty eats, share a meal with your family and friends, while appreciating the most popular dishes from the land of red, white, and blue. From grill-top stunners to the most festive of America’s treats, here’s our picks for top spots to check out this Fourth of July in Hong Kong.
Alvy’s
Take the celebration all the way out to the East Coast (of the States) at Kennedy Town’s Alvy’s. The New York-city style pizzeria is bringing over the most quintessential pie of all in their interpretation of the classic NY Meat Lover (HK$188) that’s topped lovingly with Parma ham and fennel sausage; baked into a blend of American cheddar, mozzarella, and blue cheese, with bites of freshness from cherry tomatoes and rocket.
What better bevvy to say cheers and wash it down with than one of their Young Master brews on tap? Turn that into a combo for HK$248 and you have yourself a casually delicious pizza-and-beer combo to ring in the Fourth of July holiday with. Since the venue totes the largest collection of all-American bourbon in Hong Kong, with over 20 varieties available, let the sparks fly with the clink of some shots!

Graceland
Combining nostalgia with summertime fun, Graceland is bringing the State Fair experience to Mong Kong for Fourth of July festivities. Straight out the gate from July 1 to 4, indulge in deep-fried corn dog pickles, charcoal barbeque burgers, alongside the Southern gastro-pub's interpretation of the ever-iconic White Castle sliders. Bookended with square buns, American beef patties are stacked under a combo of onions, cheese, pickles, and a secret burger sauce. And don't forget to wash it all down with a snowcone, cherry coke, or cold beers!
Where: Graceland, Shop B, G/F, 12-14A Yim Po Fong Street, Mong Kok, Kowloon
Honky Tonks Tavern
A wild west saloon that’s been pimped up for today’s discerning diners and drinkers, Honky Tonks Tavern is swinging in with an old-fashioned spread of splendid American eats. From The Big Sausage (HK$125) served backyard barbecue style with a side of ketchup, mustard, raw onions and pickles; to the BBQ Backyard Ribs (HK$185) slathered with Jim Bean BBQ sauce and rested beside Chef Andy’s Potato Salad, to the Pulled Pork Sandwich (HK$135) that’s brimming with smoky goodness and fresh zest, this is a Fourth of July gathering that you’ll want to load your plate up at.
When it comes to liquid refreshers, it’s time to dive into the summery Peach Arnold Palmer (HK$100), which blends the failproof combo with an added juicy twist, or a good ol’ can of Budweiser (HK$60). For those out to earn their chest hairs, go ahead and take on the challenge of a Pickleback shot (HK$70), or settle for the USA Old Fashioned (HK$110), a sipper to do the trick. Alas, no visit to Honky's is complete without knocking back one of (or a couple) their Almost a Watermelon White Claw Slushie (HK$85).
Where: Honky Tonks Tavern, B/F, Man Hing Lane, Soho, Central, Hong Kong
Smoke & Barrel
Famed as the go-to spot in Hong Kong for authentic Americana barbecued meats, Smoke & Barrel are bringing in the heat from a customary cookout by serving up a pre-holiday weekend brunch and Fourth of July dinner. Full of grilled gloriousness, the brunch is available for July 1 and 2 at HK$400 per person, whilst the dinner lands on the evening of July 4 with a charge of HK$550 per person.
Expect mouthwatering delights amongst the likes of house seasonal sausages made from Pork and Louisiana Boudin, S&B Spiced Chicken massaged in a secret recipe mix, Beef Short Rib cooked for 18 hours at a low and slow flame, Pork Knuckle dressed in the tangy and summery pineapple tamarind BBQ sauce, the indominable (for one at least) 1.2kg Dry Aged Black Angus Rib Eye, all from the belly of the beast of a grill itself. As always, classic starters are available for a pass around party, packing in that comforting familial spirit.
