The Pizza Bar on 38th, a world-renowned restaurant from Tokyo, is bringing its highly anticipated pop-up to The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong from Feb. 14 to 26. Executive Chef Daniele Cason helms the talented team to serve authentic gourmet pizza straight from the oven, featuring seasonal flavours and ingredients like premium cold cuts from Italy, fresh mountain vegetables, king crab and sea urchin from Hokkaido, and the irresistible Red Pearl strawberry from Ehime prefecture.

Lunch and dinner services will be available, with a signature ‘degustazione’ menu priced from HK$798 per person and a Valentine’s Day menu priced at HK$1,198 with a complimentary glass of Italian Sparkling Wine. The Pizza Bar on 38th is recommended by MICHELIN Bib Gourmand for a consecutive six years.

The popular Thai restaurant chain Baan Thai opened its third branch restaurant in Causeway Bay in mid-January, after the success of its Sai Wan and Central locations. Situated in the luxe Biz Aura Building on Pennington, the new will offer a wide selection of signature dishes, starters, snacks, salads, stir-fries, and vegetarian options.

With its contemporary Thai-inspired themed décor, comfortable lighting and two attractive terraces overlooking Pennington Street, expect signature dishes such as such as Yellow Salmon Curry, Massaman Lamb Curry, Lobster Phad Thai, Baan Thai Basil Pork, and Baan Thai Spicy Prawns.

Honk if you love cookies! Classic American desserts concept Butter are parking at Pacific Place with a brand new, hot pink (stationary) food truck selling the latest creation in the brand’s product line – cookies.

The adorably decorated stop-shop introduces three signature cookie flavours; including the nostalgia-inducing Chocolate Chunk, the chunky and rich Peanut Butter, as well as the sweet zinging Lemon Crinkle. Available for HK$25 a piece, or in sets of half-dozen (HK$125) and a dozen (HK$250), the latest Butter station is one that you’ll want to make a pitstop at. Keep your eyes peeled (and stomachs empty) for when their Ginger Molasses, Butter’s Classic, M&M and Chewy Oatmeal Raisin varieties drop!

The latest venture from powerhouse Pirata Group, Calle Ocho is a tapas-focused restaurant set amongst a 2,500 square feet venue in Causeway Bay’s Fashion Walk shopping mall. Designed by Executive Chef Víctor Caballé Molina, the menu features a variety of Spanish classics for the revered pass-around ritual of sharing tapas and vino.

The menu encompasses delights like the Iberico crispy pig ear (HK$80), the marine delicacy of Grilled Cuttlefish (HK$160), contrasted against the sharp and savoury picks of Manchego cheese dusted pickled green chilies and kimchi aioli, grilled baby corn (HK$100), alongside Arroz Negro (HK$280) for an impressive main.
