Celebrating at one Michelin-starred Duddell’s for the Year of the Rabbit, Executive Chef Yip Kar On releases a series of new limited-time menus available from Jan. 11 to Feb. 5, enjoyed for family lunches or intimate tasting-menu style dinners.

The new Chinese New Year Dim Sum selection brings together the finest of auspicious and mouth-watering bites, including the Shrimp Dumpling with Mullet Roe (HK$108), Truffle Bamboo Pith Dumplings (HK$78) and Pork and Shrimp Dumpling (HK$108). Two tasting menus, priced at HK$1088 per person for 6-courses and HK$1988 for 8-courses are on offer too, including highlights such as Deep-fried Shrimp Paste Puff and Braised Whole 30-Heads Yoshihama Abalone.

High-end Ningbo restaurant Yong Fu celebrates its fourth Chinese New Year with decadence, welcoming groups of 10 guests to its festive year-end banquet (HK$25,888 per group) meal designed by Executive Chef Liu Zhen.

Using local Hong Kong ingredients to recreate the authentic flavours of Ningbo, the meal draws on traditional recipes, beginning with an appetiser of Raw Shuttle Crab, also including Ham Shank stewed with premium South African dried abalone, Yong Fu’s Signature Crispy Chicken, Shanghai-style sautéed Bok Choy Hearts, Glutinous Rice Cakes, and Ningbo Glutinous Rice Dumplings for dessert.

Eaton Hotel’s international buffet restaurant The Astor is set to revamp their delightful selection of more than 200 food items to include festive delicacies and Hong Kong-style Chinese New Year favourites from Jan. 22 to 29.

For lunch and dinner, with prices varying, guests can enjoy dishes such as Braised E-fu Noodles with Crab and Shrimp Meat, Braised Dried Oyster with Nostoc and Lettuce, Braised Duck Feet with Sliced Abalone in Oyster Sauce, and Shaoxing Drunken Chicken Roll, Doubled Boiled Soup with Cordyceps, and a topical Lobster and Salmon Rose Prosperity Toss, also known as “Lo Hei”.
