Pirata Group’s The Optimist Debuts Triple Tiered Spanish Afternoon Tea Set
The Optimist, Pirata Group’s three-storey Spanish concept set along 239 Hennessy Road, is debuting a brand-new autumnal afternoon tea set of one-bite Spanish goodies. Created by executive chef Víctor Caballé Molina, the spread is sectioned into two tiers of savoury pinchos and an upper rung for some authentic desserts.
Drawing upon familiar tapas from Spanish cuisine, select favourites have been given some contemporary pizzaz. Guests can tuck into Truffle Croquetas, Iberco Ham Croquetas, Pulpo a la Gallega on toast, classic salt-crisped Padron Peppers, and more. There is also the option to add on Fine de Claire Oysters (HK$240), before finishing off the meal with a sweet note of Traditional Churros with milky chocolate sauce, Basque Cheesecake, and Crema Catalana Tartlet.
Each diner can enjoy free refills of tea, coffee, and fresh juices. Those who look to booze up their experience can indulge in a flute of Perrier-Jouët champagne for only HK$88, with other bespoke cocktail creations as well. From the Teagroni (HK$88) with chamomile infused gin, to the newfangled spiked-bubble tea which comes in the flavours of Rose, Matcha, and Coffee (all HK$88).
The set is priced at HK$198 per person and is served daily between 3 PM and 5 PM. Make a reservation now by clicking here.
