Converse x A-COLD-WALL* Unveil Stylish Chuck 70 Collection
The Converse x A-COLD-WALL* collaboration continues with a progressive, functional capsule collection that applies a utilitarian veneer to the iconic Chuck 70.
This latest collaboration, inspired by craftsmanship and emphasising utility, aims to minimise time spent on outfit choices and maximise time spent creating.
Since their first joint collection debuted at London Fashion Week in 2019, A-COLD-WALL* founder Samuel Ross has pushed the partnership to new realms. Ross expertly infuses the signature A-COLD-WALL* design aesthetic into key Converse innovation concepts, focusing on comfort, sustainability, and utility.
Multi-instrumentalist musician Takuya Nakamura presents this collection on behalf of Converse and A-COLD-WALL*. Nakamura’s experimental, rule-breaking craft shares the ethos of the collaboration. He is known for playing the trumpet over live electronic sets, blending genres, and meshing analogue and digital instruments to create a forward0thinking sound.
The limited-edition Chuck 70 Ox is the collection’s centrepiece, featuring a heavy was canvas upper, translucent and layered details, minimalist style cues, and a patina effect that echoes the well-worn spirit of classic Chucks. Timeless Converse elements are woven into this modern take, including a vintage license plate. The Chuck 70 is available in Oceana and Green.
Additional product features include a nubuck leather heel-stay with debossed branding, a custom hexagonal tongue with raw edges, a matte powder coating treatment on the top two eyelets, a translucent foxing and toe cap with a distressed-effect finish, and a co-branded print under the translucent toe cap. The collection also features a co-branded woven label at the lateral collar and flat waxed cotton laces.
From July 11, the Converse x A-COLD-WALL* Chuck 70, priced at HK$799, will be available at HBX.
