As cliché as it may sound, we only have limited time on this planet. Although it might seem like life is all about meetings and reports, there are plenty of things out there that you should add to your bucket list– including environmental awareness.
Before we dive deeper into serious nature issues, environmental awareness or education is the first step to protecting nature and biodiversity, that’s why nature events are conducted to promote critical thinking and community engagement, leading to an eco-friendly lifestyle.
In this article, we’ve listed some environmental programmes and events in Hong Kong happening this 2022 that you should get involved in. Let’s get started.
First Steps Into Nature
Led by the Environment and Conservation Fund (ECF) and the Environmental Campaign Committee, First Steps into Nature is an environmental programme in Hong Kong for kindergarten teachers and students.
The activities include an eco-nature tour and biodiversity workshop designed to stimulate children's imagination through a fun and interactive game learning model. These activities allow them to appreciate the beauty of human life and nature in Hong Kong. Parents are welcome to join, too!
This 2022, the "Nature and Living" Teaching and Learning Resource Package is coming soon. Some of the exciting activities it offers are interactive nature storybooks, resource workshops, and biodiversity lessons, pictorials, and photo guides.
