Clearbot was released commercially on Ocean’s Day 2021 in partnership with Razer Inc to clean man-made pollutants out of rivers, streams, and oceans. In celebration of Clearbot’s first year of real-world use, the company reflects on its’ achievements and milestones in 2023.

During an Auto Expo in North India and Kerala Boats Exhibition in South India, Clearbot demonstrated the robot’s ability to remove hyacinths, receiving an award for their presentation on hyacinth recovery.

Hyacinths are aquatic weeds which are a massive threat across bodies of water in Kerala, leading to stagnation and zero bio-life. Experts have long since called for integrated mechanical intervention to remove these weeds to allow the waterways to continue to function, a task that Clearbot has answered to.

In addition to this, Clearbot has also received the winning award for the Captain’s Table on Jan. 18, a forum dedicated to help companies access key industry contacts and receive the support of Lloyd’s Register.

Beating out Kaiko Systems, a German firm digitalising technical operations, Clearbot received a cash prize of HK$30,000 and UK£25,000 in free legal advice across law firm HFW’s network of global offices.

In a Feb. 14 post, the company expressed their excitement with the companies recognition in innovative maritime solutions, quoted as saying “It’s an absolute pleasure to be working with Lloyd’s and HFW in the next couple months to get the next version of Clearbot ready for commercial release!”
