Christie's Hosts Week-Long Hong Kong Spring Auctions from May. 24 to Jun. 1

International auction house Christie's is set to welcome luxury and art collectors to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre for a week-long spring sale event from May 24 to Jun. 1.

The marquee event will feature works from various eras, mediums, and cultures, such as 20th and 21st Century Art, Chinese Classical and Modern Paintings, Chinese Ceramics, Works of Art, Watches, Jewellery, and Handbags.

Christie’s art and luxury collectors and enthusiasts from around the world will flock to Hong Kong for a full week of sales, lectures, and exhibitions for the international auction house’s spring auctions, held from May 24 to Jun. 1.

The week-long at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre features collector items from key categories like 20th and 21st Century Art, Chinese Classical and Modern Paintings, and Chinese Ceramics and Works of Art.

The event will also feature a full array of luxury items, including watches, jewellery, wines, handbags, and accessories. Curating the sales to cover a wide range of eras, genres, mediums, and cultures, Christie's aims to bring together collectors from all over the world to explore different areas of interest.

Some of the other exciting pieces up for sale include Pablo Picasso’s ‘femme tenant un chat dans ses bras’, estimated to sell for between HK$38,000,000 and HK$45,000,000, and Yayoi Kusama’s 'Fantasizing in the Smoke,' expected to sell for HK$9,800,000.

Watch enthusiasts can choose from five stylish Patek Phillipe watches ranging in price from HK$1,200,000 to HK$48,000,000. The event also offers four Hermes bags from 2020-2022, costing HK$200,000 to HK$600,000.

The week-long event kicks off with the Finest and Rarest Wines sale on May 24 and goes through to June 1 with the sale of Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy.
