And just like that, we are on the tail end of May. But don't fret, you'd be hard-pressed to run out of ideas to do in Hong Kong for the next month. If you're a cinema lover, a sneakerhead, or a vegetarian (or just someone interested to try out a plant-based diet), then these three June events will keep you occupied and amused. Make sure to check them out!

'Nike at 50: A Genealogy of Progress' Exhibit

Nike marked its 50th anniversary with the "Nike at 50: A Genealogy of Progress" exhibit at K11 MUSEA in Tsim Sha Tsui. The immersive, audiovisual experience comes in four key zones, namely Nike 50 Moments, Moon Path, Allure of Air, and Move to Zero Lounge, and plots the footwear giant's history, from its iconic 1972 Moon Shoe to its trailblazing advancements in sustainable design. The free exhibit launched on May 23 and will run until June 11. Register your slot through the K11 MUSEA website.

Opening of M+ Cinema

Lovers of film will take pleasure from the M+ museum's new cinema, which is slated to open to the public on the first week of June. For visitors to enjoy the richness of Hong Kong's visual culture, the M+ Cinema will be holding film screenings from June 8 onwards, which include Wong Kar Wai's "Days of Being Wild" and Jia Zhangke's "Xiao Wu," as well as programmes "Hong Kong: The Establishing Shot" and "Makers and Making."

For more information on M+ Cinema's screening programmes, feel free to check out the museum's website.

Vegetarian Food Asia

Vegetarian Food Asia (VFA), the annual mega event for vegetarians and green living in Hong Kong, will finally push through from June 10-12 after being postponed early this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, the exhibit recorded 40,625 visitors with 250 booths and 100 live events. Visitors to VFA this year can expect new vegetarian products, limited discounts, and activities to promote green living. The event will be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, with tickets priced at HK$20. Children aged 12 and below, as well as seniors aged 65 and above, can enter for free. Register your visit through VFA's website.
