House of the Dragon-i Returns to Lan Kwai Fong on Oct. 28 After Lying Dormant for Nearly 300 Days
October 27, 2022
After nearly 300 days in solitude, Dragon-i Club is set for an electric return to Hong Kong’s starry nightlife space on Oct. 28 for a weekend of Halloween celebrations and festive nights of thumping music and sweet tipples.
The Lan Kwai Fong mega club, which has beckoned David Beckham, Bruno Mars, Lionel Richie, and Michael Jordan as past guests, announced its opening in a surprise post via Instagram on Oct. 22. It is set to enter its 20th year of operations in Hong Kong.
Owned by Dragon-i Group founder and CEO Gilbert Yeung, Dragon-i has gone through considerable renovations of its three distinct spaces – the outdoor terrace, Red Room, and Play Room – to update for a modern and changing clientele.
“Dragon-i’s interior has been refreshed in our renovation since its closure in early January. The Play Room has now been redesigned to accommodate intimate parties and hires of groups seeking a new experience at Dragon-i,” Steve Cromie, Chief Administration Officer of Dragon-i Group, told The Beat Asia.
In an interview with the Australian nightlife magnate, Cromie, alongside Yeung and Dragon-i Group, they said they seek “to give our guests a fresh look after 20 years of operation.”
“We want to be the market leader and make sure that we're setting the trend in the industry for people to continually copy us. Dragon-i is unique and we want to set a standard.”
Dragon-i will be open from 10 PM till late on Oct. 28 for early Halloween festivities. The club is also set to celebrate its 20th anniversary of operations on Wyndham Street on Dec. 17.
