Perak is Malaysia’s Featured Destination for MATTA Fair in March 2023

Known as the fourth largest state in the country, Perak will serve as Malaysia’s Featured Destination for the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) Fair, according to a press release on Feb. 16.

The 52nd MATTA Fair will take place on March 17-19 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) in Kuala Lumpur. This event will showcase the tourism industry of Perak, featuring its 12 icons of “breathtaking natural features, grand vistas, and famous spots that visitors must not miss out on.”

“The participation of Perak this time around is considered one of the preparations by the state of Perak to celebrate the Visit Perak Year 2024 and to further strengthen the Visit Ipoh Year 2023 by providing a promotion and marketing platform to approximately 95 players in the tourism industry in Perak,” Tourism Perak Chief Operation Officer Zuraida binti Md Taib said.

In keeping with this year’s “heritage building” theme, the event will highlight Perak’s handicraft products, food, small and medium industry products, art and culture, as well as tourism products.

The three-day fair offers free admission and is open from 10 AM-9 PM. Organisers will also provide free shuttle services at designated pick-up and drop-off points within MITEC’s vicinity, Sunway Putra Mall, and KL Sentral.
