The European Film Festival Is Back in Malaysia With Free Movie Screenings

Calling all cinephiles! Another film festival is coming to the city, and they're offering free movie screenings! The European Film Festival in Malaysia returns for its 24th edition, and this time, they're extending the celebration to three cities, including Kuala Lumpur, Penang, and Kuching.

Bringing in 18 amazing works from different countries around Europe, the festival will offer 11 films for free at selected GSC malls starting at Kuala Lumpur, where the event will kick off its celebration on Oct. 12-22 at GSC Mid Valley Megamall, MyTown, and 1 Utama. The festival will then continue in Penang at GSC Gurney Plaza from Oct. 26 to Nov. 1 before wrapping up in Kuching at GSC CityOne Megamall on Nov. 2-5.

Featuring different genres, Malaysian film enthusiasts can expect a wide array of films that will be available for screening at selected cinemas.

Interested moviegoers can get their free ticket through GSC's website, bundled with a RM4 mineral water purchase ticket via e-payment, as well as the other seven films for RM10. Movie tickets are also up for grabs through the mall's application and on-site kiosks.
