BYD Cars to Bring Its Dolphin EV to Malaysia This July

Kicking off its “new electric wave” in Malaysia, automotive company BYD will be launching its ocean-inspired electric vehicle (EV), the Dolphin EV, in the country on July 28.

The launch was teased by BYD Cars Malaysia on its Facebook and Instagram pages. While there’s no official statement that the post is referring to the BYD Dolphin EV, the dolphin icon with a “loading” design hints that it will be the specific model to be launched.

The Dolphin EV in Malaysia is slated to be a part of the automaker’s Ocean Series lineup, which will embody supreme safety standards, performance, aesthetics, and comfort.

Malaysians interested in the new series can also register via BYD’s website to be among the first to get updates and experience the Dolphin EV. A launch event will also take place at the Forecourt 1Utama, Old Wing Open Carpark in Petaling Jaya from July 28-30, where guests can do a test drive of the vehicle. Reserve your slot here.

No further details, including pricing, have been unveiled yet, but we know that the Dolphin EV has a lot to offer. Aside from its futuristic and elegant design, the car also features a large truck space, vegan leather seats, a panoramic sunroof, plenty of storage space, and an intelligent console, among others.
