Prepare to travel back in time as the Cultural Affairs Bureau, in collaboration with musical group L’Arpeggiata, is holding “Mediterraneo,” a concert highlighting ancient music of old civilisations.

Happening on March 16 at the Macao Cultural Centre’s Grand Auditorium, the concert will showcase the unique tunes of medieval Greece and Italy, as well as the ancient civilisations of Turkey and Portugal, through a harmony of instruments, majestic voices, and graceful dances.

At the show, traditional tunes will be delivered by L’Arpeggiata’s Baroque ensemble, playing soulful fado music and more enchanting melodies. The production will be led by L’Arpeggiata’s director, Christina Pluhar.

Tickets to “Mediterraneo” are now available via Macau Ticket, ranging from MOP200 to MOP400. Early bird and CCM Friends discounts are also available until Feb. 22.

Founded in 2000, L’Arpeggiata is a music ensemble that brings together early music specialists and vocalists. Since its establishment, the group has sold over 200,000 records and played at many renowned festivals, including London’s Festival of Baroque Music.
