Artist-Collector Ron Ng to Exhibit Rare Toy Figures in Macau

WHAT'S ON

Over 300 Toy Figures From Artist-Collector Ron Ng on Display in Macau

Actor and toy figure enthusiast Ron Ng’s figure-art collection will be on full display in Macau from Aug. 18, showcasing more than 300 of the artist’s personal favourites, including rare finds.

Titled “Sagatopia,” the exhibit will feature personal collections of Marvel and DC Comics toy figures, Chinese historical figures, life-sized wax sculptures, and more. Visitors can also look forward to a special collaboration with up-and-coming Chinese pop-culture artist Wai Wai, as well as various displays of PIGPI, a custom toy figure modelled after Ron’s beloved cat. Award-winning visual effects director Johnny Lin will lend his expertise to give visitors a more immersive experience through augmented reality.

The toy figures to be exhibited are handpicked from Ron’s treasure trove of hard-to-find collectibles, which he began at a young age. In 2019, Ron launched China's first-ever toy-figure museum in Beijing.
