Atty. Leni Robredo Formally Launches ‘Angat Pinas Inc.’

On July 1, former Vice President Maria Leonor "Leni" Robredo officially launched the Angat Pinas Inc.. The event took place at the Leni-Kiko volunteer facility in Quezon City.

During the launch yesterday, Robredo said there is already a registered Angat Buhay entity under the Securities and Exchange Commission, which is why they renamed it under the corporate name Angat Pinas Inc. Nevertheless, the program will still be called “Angat Buhay.”

With the support from public and private sectors and individuals alike, the SEC-registered foundation will continue to work towards its objectives of assisting the needs of Filipino families, particularly those living in remote and poverty-stricken communities.

According to Robredo, Angat Pinas Inc. will focus on health, education, disaster relief, food security, and community engagement. She also introduced the board members who happen to be the people who helped her throughout the 2022 presidential campaign. This includes Jose Christopher “Kit” Belmonte, Rafael Lopa, Joanne Baylon, Gary David, Judith Azarcon, and Boyet Dy (chairperson).

Angat Buhay is hosting a two-day street and art festival in Quezon City where attendees have the opportunity to acquire some artworks and memorabilia provided by Robredo's supporters in exchange for any donation to fund the foundation.
