Boracay Ranked Among TIME Magazine’s ‘World’s Greatest Places of 2022’

Boracay, a famous summer destination in the Philippines, has been ranked by TIME Magazine as one of the “World’s Greatest Places of 2022.”

On its website on Wednesday, July 13, the world-renowned American publication cited the hospitality of locals, the return of flora and fauna, and the luxurious Crimson Resort and Spa as reasons Boracay made the cut.

“The Department of Tourism (DOT) affirms its pride and honor as Boracay Island once again proved its allure as a tourist haven. Such recognition will surely help us attain our goal of regaining our position in the market. We look forward to developing and promoting the talents of our people and the products that have the potential for national and global marketability,” said Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco in a press release.

Tourist spots like Galapagos Island, Seoul, Detroit, The Arctic, Bali, Salta, Rapa Nui, Miami, Kaunas, San Franciso, and Jamaica also made it to TIME’s best places to explore.
