Filipino Fast Food Giant Jollibee Opens 150th Branch in Vietnam

Jollibee inaugurated its 150th branch in Vietnam, cementing the Southeast Asian country as one of its biggest markets outside its home turf in the Philippines, the fast food giant announced on March 21.

The new store is at 254 Dong Da street Thuan Phuoc Ward, Hai Chau District, in Da Nang City, which is a major tourism hub in Vietnam.

“Vietnam is one of the most important markets for us as it is among the fastest-growing economies in Asia and has a huge young and vibrant population. It is also one of the first international markets we entered in the earlier years of Jollibee,” said Jollibee Group CEO Ernesto Tanmantiong in a media release.

“Even if the pandemic sparked many challenges, Jollibee Vietnam has managed to sustainably grow and exceed our expectations.”

The Filipino fast food giant opened its first branch in Vietnam more than 15 years ago.

The latest branch further solidifies the company’s expansion plans following the opening of two branches in Scotland in February and March, respectively.

Jollibee is present in 17 countries with more than 1,500 branches.
