University of the Philippines Resumes UPCAT in 2023 for Academic Year 2024-2025
The University of the Philippines (UP) announced on Thursday, Sept. 22, that they will hold the UP College Admission Test (UPCAT) in 2023 for Academic Year (AY) 2024-2025. This will be a first since 2020, as the university didn’t hold the UPCAT 2021 and UPCAT 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“This was decided during a meeting on September 14, 2022, of UP’s President’s Advisory Council (PAC), which includes the President and the Vice Presidents of the UP System, the Secretary of the University and the Board of Regents, the Chancellors of UP’s eight constituent universities, the Director of the UP Philippine General Hospital, and the Executive Director of the UP Bonifacio Global City Campus,” the university said in a statement.
The face-to-face UPCAT will take place on June 3 and 4, 2023, in nearly 100 testing centers nationwide. Applications will open in March 2023 for grade 11 students who are graduating from senior high school at the end of AY 2023-2024.
