Know Your History and Culture: National Museum Extends Operating Hours

The National Museum of the Philippines is extending its operating hours in line with the celebration of the International Museum Day today, May 18.

Starting Wednesday onwards, you can now visit the National Museum of Fine Arts, National Museum of Anthropology, and National Museum of Natural History in Rizal Park, Manila from 9 AM to 6 PM on Tuesdays through Sundays, excluding certain public holidays.

The National Museum said the extended hours are part of its “quest to do better in our public service and widen opportunities for as many people as possible to access our museums.”

Admission to the museum remains free. You do not have to reserve a slot prior to your visit, unless you are coming in groups of 20 to 30 persons. Visitors are also required to show their proof of vaccination.

The National Museum of the Philippines reopened in October 2021 following a long hiatus due to the pandemic.
