PH Women Football Team Wins Over Papua New Guinea in Friendly Match

“A perfect game to end a perfect year!”

The Philippine Women’s National Football Team (PWNFT) reigned victorious against Papua New Guinea with a 9-0 score during their friendly match on Dec. 15 at 7 PM AEDT (4 PM Philippine time), live from Wanderers Football Park.

Quinley Quezada was the driving force behind the squad and took her first hat-trick, gaining a three-goal score during the second half. Meanwhile, Katrina Guillou scored an impressive goal, passing through Quezada at the 24th and converting a penalty at the 72nd-minute mark.

Last Sunday, the PWNFT had a 5-1 win over Papua New Guinea during the first round of the friendly competition.

The Philippines is currently ranked 53rd in the FIFA world rankings, while Papua New Guinea is ranked 51st.
