No Sharing Ice Cream Pints You Can Order and Eat Solo This Summer

As PAGASA declared the start of the dry season in the country, that only means we should double the effort in keeping ourselves cool and hydrated. An effective way to do that is by eating ice cream.

Who doesn’t love ice cream? It’s sweet and delicious on its own. It goes well with almost anything, from cakes to sandwiches, that a lot of us see it as the go-to option when we want to cool ourselves down. Not to mention, there are many ice cream brands out there that keep on experimenting new flavors.

If you’re still stuck at home and don’t want to share, take this as a reminder to chill and order these ice cream pints from some of Manila’s best brands.

Sebastian’s Ice Cream

Established in 2005, Sebastian’s Ice Cream is the first artisanal ice cream brand in the country. They’re known for introducing unique flavors, both local and international, that surprisingly taste good.

We recommend getting their Ginataang Halo-Halo, Strawberry Supreme, and Macadamia White seasonal flavors. If you’re the adventurous type, you can try their Champorado & Dilis, Green Mango & Chili Sugar, Sapin-sapin, and Mangga’t Suman ice cream. For sugar-free options, you can get their Sweet Freedom Mocha Almond, Dark Chocolate, French Vanilla, and Butter Pecan ice cream flavors.

How to order: Place an order on their website and wait for the payment details through email. The shop’s in-house delivery is available for orders P1,000 and above with a flat rate of P250. Delivery is free for orders P2,500 and above.

Papa Diddi’s Handcrafted Ice Cream

Papa Diddi’s offers homegrown, handcrafted, and heartfelt ice cream using fresh carabao milk and select produce from farms all over the country. Some of their bestsellers are Tres Leches, Toasted Forbidden Rice, and Salted Yema. For the lactose intolerant, they have Dairy Free Ube, Coffee, and Chocolate. They also released new summer flavors like Buko Crumble Pie, Refreshing Melon, and Ube Halo-Halo.

If you love eating ice cream regardless of the weather, you might be interested in their Pint Club. It’s the country’s first subscription service that delivers two pints of exclusive ice cream flavors every month at your doorstep.

How to order: Visit their website and choose a branch near you to be directed to their order page. Their branch sorbeteros accept orders daily from 10 AM to 9 PM.

Mad Mark’s Creamery & Coffee

Founded in 2011, Mad Mark’s Creamery and Coffee proudly serves artisanal homemade ice cream, home-roasted coffee, and signature grilled food. They have branches all over Manila — Pasig, Mandaluyong, Taguig, Makati, and Quezon City — so you can order meals along with your ice cream when your craving hits. That’s hitting two birds with one stone!

Some of their best-sellers are Half-Baked Madagascar, Java Hot Chocolate, Chocolate on Chocolate, and Roasted Pecan ice cream. We also recommend trying their Single Origin Espresso, Strawberry Cheesecake, and Walnut Cinnamon.

How to order: Place an order on their website and wait for a message or email from their team upon confirmation of your order. For now, they only accept bank transfers via BDO or BPI. Payments made before 5 PM will be delivered the next day, while payments made after 5 PM will take one to two days.
