VaxCertPH: How to Get Your COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate Online

Following the downgrading of Metro Manila's alert level from 4 to 3 last October, more and more provinces are starting to ease its travel restrictions for tourists and residents.

After being indoors for the past almost two years, you're probably feeling antsy and itching to get out of the house to travel again. Before anything, make sure to have a vaccination certification to present during your travels.

VaxCert was introduced by the government last September but was only limited to overseas Filipino workers and Filipinos who intend to travel abroad. By Oct. 29, however, the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases has approved requests for vaccination certificates for domestic use.

Here's how to request for your own vaccination certificate online.

Step 1: Have your vaccination card and any government-issued ID at the ready.

Step 2: Go to https://vaxcert.doh.gov.ph/

Step 3: Click the "Continue" button

Step 4: Review and accept the data privacy statement by ticking the box.

Step 5: You will be a series of questions regarding your traveler status, vaccination status, and whether you were vaccinated more than 48 hours ago. Answer truthfully in yes or no.

Step 6: You will be asked to enter your details, such as your complete name, city or municipality, and dates of your first and second dose vaccination. Make sure these details match the ones printed on your vaccination card.

Step 7: You will then be asked to enter a seven-character verification. Type the characters as exactly shown on screen. Upon typing, the portal will look up your vaccination record.

Step 8: Afterwards, you will be led to the "Record Found Page."

*If your vaccination record isn't found, but you are certain that all the details are correct, click "Continue" for assistance. You will be asked to upload a photo of your vaccination card and government-issued ID. Enter your contact details and click "Submit Request."

Step 9: Double check your details and if they are all correct, click "Generate Vaccination Certificate." Your vaccination certificate will contain details such as the data and place of your immunization, your vaccine brand, along with a QR code.

Step 10: Download, print, or take a screenshot (or all three!) of your vaccination certificate and present it during your international and domestic travels for a hassle-free process.

Happy and safe traveling!
