Christmas is fast approaching, as there’s only less than a month before the official celebration. Along with gift giving and symbolic traditions, the sound of classic Christmas hymns and carols is a surefire way to get into the holiday spirit.

‘Tis Christmas season, music fans will be treated to a night that is more than just an auditory experience. From modern top tracks to holiday classics, here’s your holiday guide for Christmas concerts in the Philippines, featuring iconic vocals of OPM legends and international performers.

‘Music in our Hearts: Jose Mari Chan in Perfect CompanY’ Concert

Let's sing Merry Christmas and a happy holiday! Jose Mari Chan, dubbed as the father of Christmas songs, will be having a one-night Christmas concert along with Asia's Premiere Vocal Group, The CompanY. The group consists of Annie Quintos, Moy Ortiz, OJ Mariano, and Sweet Plantado.

Chan will be performing the official heartwarming soundtrack of many Filipinos during the Yuletide season – "Christmas in our Hearts." The song was released in 1990 and it went on to sell more than 20 million copies, earning a Double Diamond Record Award.

On the other hand, The CompanY will belt out popularized songs from the ‘80s, such as "Everlasting Love," "Muntik Na Kitang Minahal," and "Now That I Have You."

Salo-Salo Fest

With the aim to make “paskong Pinoy” more magical, Salo-Salo Fest is a family-friendly Christmas concert and the first-ever music festival to be held inside a theme park.

The three-day music festival will feature performances from some of the best OPM bands and artists, including Rico Blanco, Arthur Nery, Barbie Almalbis, Orange and Lemons, Moonstar88, Kiyo, Ely Buendia, Unique, and Parokya Ni Edgar, among others.

Aside from its incredible lineup of artists, the concert ticket you purchase grants you access to unlimited rides at the theme park and watch fireworks displays.

The Christmas Holiday Concert

Wonderful Christmas carols will be performed at The Christmas Holiday Concert, organized by Ayala Land in a well-known venue in Makati for the performing arts and entertainment.

Some performers that will make your Christmas brighter are the Manila Symphony Orchestra and Steps Dance Studio, Alice Reyes Dance Philippines, Gab Pangilinan, Myke Salomon, Gian Magdangal, Lara Maigue, and Poppert Bernadas.

The Ayala Land will also hold a Christmas market at Ayala Triangle Gardens in collaboration with the Embassy of France to the Philippines and Micronesia from Dec. 2-31 and Simbang Gabi at Ayala Triangle Gardens from Dec. 15-23.

UST Paskuhan 2022

With the theme of "Pananabik, Pagbabalik, Panunumbalik," University of Santo Tomas Paskuhan 2022 returns after its pandemic hiatus in December 2019.

Apart from its famous Christmas lights and 70-foot tall Paskuhan tree, the traditional festivities will include firework displays and concerts dedicated to the Thomasian community. 

Last year, the Paskuhan online concert took place at the Quadricentennial Pavilion. It included bands and talents from the university, along with OPM bands Nobita, Orange and Lemons, and Mayonnaise. Keep your eyes peeled for this year’s performers for an all-around cheer.

Sarah Brightman: A Christmas Symphony

The world’s biggest-selling soprano and classical crossover singer, Sarah Brightman, will serenade Filipinos in her first-ever Christmas tour titled “Sarah Brightman: A Christmas Symphony.”

Brightman started her singing career as Christine Daaé in the world-famous “The Phantom of the Opera” on both West End and Broadway stages. 

Since then, she has performed at various prestigious events, such as the Concert for Diana, The Kennedy Center Honors, and the Barcelona and Beijing Olympic Games.

Parol, Bibingka at Puto Bumbong

Parol, bibingka, and puto bumbong are the most common things we see and eat during Christmas celebrations in the Philippines. This year, OPM icons Marco Sison, Dulce, and Rey Valera will bring “Parol, Bibingka, and Puto Bumbong” to life through a one-night concert.

The music legends will treat fans to a Christmas concert filled with all-time favorite hits from the ‘90s. Several special guests will join them such as Andrea Gutierrez, Elisha and George Castro, and the San Antonio de Padua Grand Choir.

Paskong Pinoy Playlist Music Festival

This Christmas concert is a night full of classic Pinoy playlists to be performed by 2022 PPMF Ryan Cayabyab Awardees Pilita Corrales, Jose Mari Chan, Babsie Molina, and Jonathan Velasco with tribute performances by special guests. The event is curated by National Artist for Music Maestro Ryan Cayabyab, Moy Ortiz, and Noel Ferrer.
