1. 'Tanaw' Concert
If you're part of the generation who spent the heydays of your youth listening to Kitchie Nadal and Barbie Almalbis and refuse to move on, this one-night concert is for you. "Tanaw" sees Filipino alternative pop/rock queens Aia de Leon, Almalbis, Nadal, Lougee Basabas, Hannah Romawac, and Acel Bisa come together for the first time for a night of iconic classics that were once (and perhaps still are) our lives' anthems. 2. Luis Lorenzana's 'Heads' Exhibit
This exhibition is Lorenzana's deviation from pop surrealism to show his full command of painting with a "minimalist approach," code-switching from oil to watercolor and canvas to paper. The black and gray profiles in "Heads" are punctuated with "multicolored forms as if to emphasize balance and space." Lorenzana, who formerly worked at the Philippine Senate, has participated in more than 30 group and solo shows in the country, as well as Hong Kong, Italy, Germany, Singapore, and the United States.

3. Cake Fiesta Manila 2022
If you love cakes and all treats baked, head on over to this sweet event happening this weekend. Cake Fiesta Manila, known for being the first and biggest international baking and cake decorating expo in the country, will be featuring local and international cake artists, hands-on classes, baked goods, and a variety of free and paid demos for visitors. Bakers, cake decorators, and those who simply love cakes will have a ball meeting with a wide range of exhibitors, from culinary schools and chocolatiers to pâtissiers, chefs, wedding supplies, and more.

5. 'Malvaloca' Free Screening
"Malvaloca," a 1926 Spanish silent film by Benito Perojo, will be screened for free this Saturday as part of the 16th International Silent Film Festival Manila this end of month. The silent film will be underscored live by Talahib People's Music, a rock band known for using Filipino indigenous instruments. 6. The Big Band Theory Workshop
To all musicians and music lovers, Asosasyon ng Musikong Pilipino (AMP) is opening its doors to offer a free music workshop this weekend for anyone who wishes to join and learn. The music workshop will be held by the AMP Big Band, with AMP resident vocalist Gail Blanco Viduya as the vocal coach. Those who wish to join must bring their instruments and may also reserve or inquire about the slots by contacting these numbers: 0917 796 1981 (Annelle) and 0917 796 1958 (Mely). The workshop was made possible partly by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA).

7. 'Dekada '70' and 'Noli Me Tangere' Free Screenings
If you're in the mood for Filipino classics, catch the flicks of director Chito Roño and the late Gerardo de Leon this entire weekend for free. Roño's adaptations of novelist-activist Lualhati Bautista's "Dekada '70" and "Bata Bata Paano Ka Ginawa?" will be shown on Friday and Sunday, while de Leon's "Noli Me Tangere" will be screened on Saturday. You may also catch Glenn Barit's "Cleaners" and Martika Ramirez Escobar's “Leonor Will Never Die" over the weekend for a small fee.

8. 'Freedom and Love Philippines' Group Exhibit
Filipino and international artists bring their unique cultures, customs, and traditions in the artworks on show in this group exhibit. Now on its second edition, "Freedom and Love Philippines" is organized by the Filipinas Institute for the Advancement of Arts and Culture, Inc. (FILARTS) and sees this year the participation of artists from Singapore, India, Nepal, Vietnam, Taiwan, and Brunei. These artists believe that the practice of art must be "immersive and a by-product of a continuous dialogue between the society and that of personal and communal history."
