1. Seventeen World Tour [Be The Sun] - Manila
The 13-member South Korean boy band, Seventeen, is back in Manila for their “Be The Sun” World Tour this coming weekend. Debuted in 2015, the group is nicknamed the “K-Pop Performance Powerhouse" because of their impressive synchronization when performing.
In 2021, Seventeen made it into the list of the 10 best-selling albums in the world, alongside other award-winning record artists such as Taylor Swift, Adele, and BTS. Some of their hit songs are “HOT,” “_WORLD,” “CHEERS,” “Rock with you,” and “VERY NICE.”

2. Macbeth Music Festival: The 20th Anniversary Show
This weekend’s event is a concert and a fashion show all in one to celebrate Macbeth's 20th anniversary. The event will feature 20 bands who will perform in various genres while the fashion show will highlight Macbeth’s latest collection – Lady Macbeth and Macbeth Underwear.
The lineup of performers includes of Chelsea Alley, Urbandub, Rico Blanco, Mayonnaise, Chocolate Factory, Sandwich, Hilera, Even, Snakefight, Sucketseven, Fragments, Chndtr, Fastpitch, Soapdish, Written By The Stars, Divina, Lilith, Shotgun Combo, Imbue No Kudos, Rouge, and Macbeth All-Stars and Superband.

3. Antique & Vintage Collectible Convention
Do you have a passion for collecting vintage items? Check out this one-day antique convention slated for the weekend, featuring talks, a tour, and an auction of Filipiniana collections from different local collector groups.

4. World Animal Day Celebration: From Pole to Pawl
Spend a day off with your furry friends at this pawsome pet-together event this Saturday! There will also be a pet adoption for those who are in search of new FURiends at the event.

5. Caritas Bike 4 Kalikasan
This weekend's event is perfect for eco-conscious cyclists. Caritas Bike 4 Kalikasan is a nationwide initiative conducted by Caritas Philippines to gather and unite its “partners, stakeholders, and communities toward ecological transformation.”
The cycling routine will start from the Manila Cathedral in Intramuros, Manila to La Mesa Dam Nature Reserve Park in Quezon City. At the same time, the national bamboo forest project will be launched during the event. Those interested in joining the bike ride may register via this link.

6. Yugyugan Nation 2
Yugtugan Nation 2 is back to pay homage to the golden period of Philippine music with an evening full of intimate performances, live acoustic sets, and world-class theater musicals featuring OPM hitmakers of the past decades.
From boogie to rock and roll and swing to disco, you’ll surely have a nostalgic evening from the classic hits of Joey Abando of Boyfriends, Nonoy Tan and Rey Magtoto of WADAB, Mon Espia of Labuyo, Monet Gaskell and Male Rigor of VST & Company, and a special performance by Mike Hanopol of Sampaguita.

7. Likhang Papel Workshop
Are you bored at home yet don't have the energy to leave the house? This online workshop is the solution to your weekend doldrums.
The Likhang Papel Workshop, supported by the Japan Foundation Manila and Jimenez Logistics Solutions, Inc., will showcase the use of Philippine plant fibers in Japanese papermaking led by master papermaker Asao Shimura. Participants are expected to learn various papermaking techniques and about Philippine plants.
The virtual event is open to all crafts enthusiasts, fine arts teachers, and those aged 16 years old and above. Both local and overseas participants will receive a customized papermaking kit.
Participants need to prepare leaves, flowers, a laptop/tablet/smartphone, stable internet connection, and a set-up of camera overhead to see the work. Tickets are available for purchase via this link.

8. Spanish Film Fest
This October, the Película Spanish Film Festival is a must-see for all movie lovers out there! The film festival is back to its regular in-person screenings after two years of celebrating virtually.
The 21st edition of the film festival will take place in three venues in the metro, namely Shangri-La Plaza, Cine Adarna at the University of the Philippines, Diliman, and the Instituto de Cervantes de Manila branch in Intramuros.
This coming weekend, the scheduled movies to be screened are “A Las Mujeres De España. María Lejárraga,” “Algo Azul,” “El Olvido Que Seremos,” “Maixabel,” “Sentimental,” “El Buen Patrón,” “La Hija,” “Competencia Oficial,” and “La Boda De Rosa.”
All movies are in Spanish (or their original language) with English subtitles.

9. Ballet Manila Presents RISE!
“Rise” is a double bill featuring Lisa Macuja Elizalde’s version of “La Traviata” and pop program “Ballet & Ballads” to mark the return of Ballet Manila to the newly renovated Aliw Theater.
The event will feature various performances including classical ballet, opera, a live orchestra, and pop music. Some OPM artists, such as Bituin Escalante, Jade Riccio, Ivan Nery, and the Ballet Manila, are scheduled to take the stage.
