Thai reel-to-real couple Mark Prin Suparat and Kimberley Anne Woltemas have successfully held their first fan meeting in Manila on Sunday, March 12, at SM North EDSA Skydome.
Fans lined up as early as 3 PM to secure their spots and claim their fan benefits, such as an event poster (VIP Wave) and signed poster (Superwave).
At exactly 7 PM, Mark graced the stage first with his solo performance of “Mun Kong Pen Kwahm Ruk” (It’s Probably Love) by Stamp, which is the OST of the Thai BL series “Love by Chance,” followed by Kimberley who sang “The Show” by Australian singer-songwriter Lenka.
The Thai couple greeted their enthusiastic fans with a few Filipino words such as “Mabuhay!” and “Kumusta kayo?” and posed with a finger heart to show how excited they are to finally meet their fans.
As everyone settled down, the fan meeting continued with a series of games.
The first game was “What’s in Box?” where the couple had to guess the items inside the box correctly or else, they’ll have to do the consequence of eating “exotic Filipino food.”
Kimberley replied that it’s not going to be a punishment for her if she loses, while Mark supported her words with, “Yes, [because] we love to eat.”
The couple was able to answer the first item (jelly) quickly but struggled a bit with the second (pancit canton). Mark answered spaghetti, while Kimberley said it’s some kind of noodles.
After getting two correct answers, the couple broke their streak when they failed to guess the third item: pineapple. Mark thought it was durian because he felt spikes while touching the item.
The exotic food the couple had to eat was bopis, a spicy Filipino dish made from minced pork lungs and heart. Kimberley tried it first and said, “It’s not so bad,” while Mark likened the dish to sisig and Thai food with a familiar taste.
The couple were also given a plate of durian.
Moving on to the second game, the venue was filled with cheers when told that fans can come up on stage and participate. Two lucky fans had the chance to play (and won) the “Staring Game” with Mark and Kimberley.
Of course, both had to play the game against each other!
For the last game featuring the couple, they played “Who’s Most Likely To?” to show fans how well they know each other.
Some of the questions were “Who’s likely to forget something?” in which the couple both answered Mark and “Who’s likely to cry during a movie?” where they honestly answered that it’s the both of them.
Fans also found out that Kimberley is a good cook (but will never do the dishes) and Mark shares the hard work by doing the dishes for her.
Another question that hyped the crowd was “Who’s likely to be clumsy?” where both answered differently. Mark said it was Kimberley because she fell into a fishpond, while Kimberley said it was Mark because he often trips. Mark, however, rebutted and said that’s because it was his “leg day” (after working out). The conversation soon led to Mark almost showing his abs, which filled the venue with squeals.
The couple came out for their second appearance wearing beautiful traditional Filipino clothing and sang “Pag-Ibig Na Kaya” by Rachelle Ann Go to the delight of their fans.
Afterward, they were asked to face the screen to watch a video made by their fans. It left them speechless for a while and thanked everyone for their love and support.
Kimberley also teased, “We will have our wedding…” and filled the venue with squeals. Mark continued the sentence with “This year,” which made fans squeal even more. He also re-enacted his proposal in front of their fans.
The surprise didn’t end there as fans also prepared a cake for Mark, who will celebrate his 33rd birthday on March 19.
Short but sweet, the Thai couple’s fan meeting ended with a group photo and a song called “Lucky” by Jason Mraz featuring Colbie Caillat.
For Superwave fans, the night wasn’t over yet as they got the chance to have a hi-touch and take a group photo with the couple before waving their goodbyes.
