Directed by Taika Waititi, the fourth installment of the series follows the timeline after “Avengers: Endgame” where Thor Odinson (Chris Hemsworth) joins the company of the Guardians of the Galaxy. Thor later leaves the Guardians to — as Disney describes it — go on “a quest for inner peace.” This quest, however, is interrupted by Gorr the God Butcher who seeks the extinction of the gods. Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie, Korg, and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (who’s surprisingly the new wielder of the Mjolnir and the one who took over as the Goddess of Thunder) to stop the galactic killer.
