Here are 4 Ways to Show Your Support as We Celebrate Women’s Month 2022

Women’s Month is celebrated every March to recognize women’s heroic contributions and achievements in culture, history, and society. This month-long celebration serves as a reminder of the first major march of suffragists, the formation of the National Woman's Party that worked for women’s right to vote, and the passage of Title IX that prohibits gender discrimination as well as the Equal Rights Amendment of 1972.

Whether you’re an advocate of equality or simply want to celebrate womanhood, here are some ideas on how to celebrate Women’s Month in the Philippines.

Wear Anything Purple 

To take part in the Women’s Month 2022 celebration, the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) encourages everyone to wear anything purple every Tuesday throughout March. This movement shows support for women’s empowerment and gender equality.

If you fancy decorating your personal space or offices, you may flaunt your skills by filling your area with purple items and other embellishments.

On March 8, the PCW will also launch an online poll to help address vital issues such as stereotypes and gender equality.

Help Someone With a Legal Problem 

If you know someone who needs legal advice, the Philippine Embassy in London will be hosting a free legal clinic on March 12.

In line with this year’s Women’s Month mission, “Malasakit at Pagbabago” (Compassion and Real Change), the DV Solicitors LLP will lead the legal consultations related to civil litigation, probate issues, general immigration, employment matters, and family matters (divorce, finances, children). Engage with Women Entrepreneurs
