Back From the Dead: ‘True Philippine Ghost Stories’ to Be Relaunched

If you grew up reading "True Philippine Ghost Stories," say "I." Whether read by oneself or with friends, the book series served as a companion for many who wanted to spook themselves silly long before Netflix came around with its ready-to-stream horror flicks and shows.

Now, the book series is set to return from the dead after its publisher, PSICOM Publishing Inc., announced a call for submissions early this week via Facebook.

"Seize the opportunity to contribute to the relaunch of the bestselling book series, and leave your mark on its extraordinary comeback," PSICOM Publishing Inc. said in its statement.

If you’d like to share your story and contribute to the comeback of "True Philippine Ghost Stories," the publishing house laid out guidelines on how one can submit their terrifying tales.

Stories submitted must fit the theme of the series and should have a length between 800 and 2,000 words. Stories may be written in English, Tagalog, or Taglish, and must not have been published anywhere else, partly or in full.

You may submit your stories via email at [email protected] — you have until June 30, 2023!
