Gallery Showcases Migrant Workers' Diversity, Contributions to Singapore

The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) launched the "Our Migrant Workers Gallery" at the Assurance, Care and Engagement (ACE) Group's headquarters at 3 Geylang Bahru Lane last June 30.

According to a press release by the MOM, the gallery has four zones and features over 150 photographs to encourage visitors to glean from the experiences, contributions, and diverse stories of migrant workers to the city-state.

The four zones are "Many Faces, One Aspiration," "Protecting Lives, Safeguarding Livelihoods," "Strengthening Resilience, Enhancing Experiences," and "Joining Hands, Building Bonds."

The MOM said the gallery aims to engage the youth, community partners, and general public to have an even greater appreciation for migrant workers.

“Our Migrant Workers Gallery symbolises our appreciation for our migrant workers’ contributions to Singapore and recognises their resilience through the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Minister for Manpower Dr. Tan See Leng in the release.

“We are transforming housing, healthcare and the well-being of our migrant workers. As we continue to progress in our multi-year journey, I hope the public and our stakeholders will join us in taking active steps to support and thank our migrant workers.”
