Direct School Admission Exercise Opens Applications; ITE, Polytechnic EAE to Start End of May

The Direct School Admission (DSA) exercise for admission to secondary schools and junior colleges (JCs) in 2023 has opened its applications from May 5 to June 1.

The DSA is a pathway for Singaporean students to directly enter secondary schools or JCs according to their unique talents aside from their performance at the national examinations.

According to the Ministry of Education (MOE) on May 4, in-person interviews and selection for the 2022 DSA shall resume, thanks to the high vaccination rates of students and school personnel.

Students participating in the DSA-Sec or DSA-JC exercise must also take the PSLE or GCE O-Level examination.

Meanwhile, separate applications for early admission to the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and polytechnics based on course-specific aptitude and interests will begin from May 26 to June 6.

For the ITE Early Admissions Exercise (ITE EAE), finishing N- and O-Level students can apply for early admission to Nitec and Higher Nitec courses based on their aptitudes and interest.

Applications for the Polytechnic will open from June 9-15 for final-year students and June 23-29 for graduating O-Level students.

Those who will be successful in their applications for the Polytechnic EAE will be given conditional offers before receiving their exam results.
